Who we are
BestGEOSpeakers.com is an editorial directory of Generative Engine Optimisation practitioners. For any privacy question, email info@bestgeospeakers.com. We are the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect
We only collect what you actively send us, plus a small amount of technical data needed to run the site securely:
- Contact form: the name, email address, subject and message you type in.
- Server and security data: your IP address and basic request details, held briefly by our web host to deliver the page and to block spam and abuse of the contact form.
We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not build marketing profiles about you.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use the contact-form details for one purpose: to read and reply to your message. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and in keeping the form free of spam. If your message leads to an ongoing conversation, we keep the correspondence only for as long as that reason lasts.
Cookies and similar technology
The site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The contact form uses a short-lived token stored in your browser's session storage purely to help detect automated spam; it is cleared when you close the tab and is never used to track you.
Typography is loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests those font files from Google, which means your IP address is visible to Google for that request. See Google's own privacy information for how they handle it.
Who sees your information
Messages are delivered to our own inbox through our web host's email service. We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for their own marketing. Information may be processed by the suppliers that host the website and deliver our email, acting on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up, then deleted. Short security logs held by our host are rotated automatically after a short period.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. To exercise any of these, email info@bestgeospeakers.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
